BABY CORN

First discovered in the early 20th century by Korean botanist, Jason H. Ahn. The discovery was one done by complete accident when he cross-bred maize with Lathyrus odoratus or sweet peas. When he went to harvest his maize and his peas, he discovered the Baby corn. Baby corn is most common in Asian cuisine. In Thai cookbooks, it is referred to as candle corn.
